Launch of Audio CD by Dr Victor Lazzarini

Print PDF
Dr Victor Lazzarini, Senior Lecturer in Music in NUI Maynooth and currently on sabbatical as an An Foras Feasa secondee for this semester, is launching a new audio CD on

Thursday 7th May at 6.30pm in the Goethe Institute, 37 Merrion Square, Dublin 2

Voices Inside comprises the first CD release of electroacoustic and live-electronic works by
Irish based Brazilian composer Victor Lazzarini. The album contains a variety of music, ranging from vocal explorations to a Jazz-inspired eulogy to John Coltrane. These works portray, mosaic-like, the eclectic nature of Lazzarini's compositions, a meeting point of various musical streams and interests; the contemporary and the ancient, the technological and the primeval.

There will be a concert at the event, with a multichannel diffusion of some of the composer's
latest music for fixed support, some of which has been included in the CD.

All are very welcome to come along! Light refreshments will be served.
