'Humanities, Technology and Innovation' Doctoral Programme

An Foras Feasa's 'Humanities, Technology and Innovation' Doctoral Programme (AFFDP) includes a one-year taught programme which provides humanities students with additional expertise in digital humanities.

This pioneering course offers flexible learning opportunities that are customised to individual students’ research needs and to the demands and requirements of specific disciplines. Through their participation in this innovative doctoral programme, graduates of An Foras Feasa will acquire first-class professional skills and will contribute to Ireland’s knowledge economy.

The Higher Education Authority's Programme for Research in Third-Level Institution (PRTLI) grant allows the granting of 12 Doctoral fellowships in total to An Foras Feasa members - 7 in the National University of Ireland Maynooth, 2 in Dublin College University and 3 in St. Patrick's College, Drumcondra. Each fellowship is of three years duration and provides an annual stipend of €16,000 along with free tuition fees.
